Manipur on Monday reported 315 new COVID 19 cases and one death, taking the state’s tally to 15,778, state health officials informed.
Among the new cases, 285 are from the general population and 30 are Central Armed Police Force(CAPF) personnel.

The new COVID-19 cases were confirmed at 18 testing facilities in the state.
The positive cases from the general population are from Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Noney, Kangpokpi, Ukhrul, Kakching, Chandel, Churachandpur, Tamenglong, Tengnpoupal, Senapati and Bishnupur.
All are locals are without any significant travel history and they are being shifted to the COVID care facilities.

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, 172 persons were discharged from 15 COVID care facilities.
The total numbers of active and recovered cases are 3,748 and 11,913 respectively. The recovery rate is 75.50 per cent.
So far 4,13,612 people have been screened at various entry points of the state while 3,22,852 samples were tested for COVID-19.
The general public has been urged to self-isolate and contact the COVID control rooms or the chief medical officer for testing on coming in contact with a Covid-19 positive person.
