The COVID-19 situation in Manipur continues to be grim.
As many as 12 COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Manipur on Thursday.
With 12 more deaths, Manipur’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 1241.
Meanwhile, the State has logged 839 new COVID-19 positive cases.
Among the fresh 839 new cases, 833 are from the general public and 6 from the central paramilitary forces deployed in the State.

Imphal West reported the highest number of cases with 318, followed by Imphal East (155), Thoubal (62), Churachandpur (65), Bishnupur (55), Kangpokpi (41), Kakching (89), Chandel (18), Ukhrul (7), Tamenglong (6), Tengnoupal (2), Pherzawl (13), Noney (1) and Jiribam (6).
With the detection of the 839 new cases, Manipur’s active cases tally rose to 6727.
Meanwhile, 634 people also recovered from the deadly virus during the last 24 hours.
Manipur’s current COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 89.40 per cent.
