Manipur Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam on Thursday declared the examination results of the Higher Secondary Examination, 2018 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM).
This year the overall pass percentage is 67.04, which is a decline from the previous year’s record of 68.81 per cent.
He informed that this year, 28,024 candidates were enrolled for the Higher Secondary Examination, 2018, out of which 27,776 candidates appeared for the examination and 18,621 cleared the examination.
Congratulating the officials of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur Minister Th Radhehsyam said that the examination result is declared in short span of time due to the untiring efforts of the staff.
The Higher Secondary Examination, 2018 result was declared at the office of COHSEM.
District wise, the pass percentage of Noney District recorded the highest pass percentage of 96.80 with 333 candidates clearing the examination out of the total 344 candidates.
Imphal West had the highest number of candidates appearing in the examination totalling to 9606 candidates with 6664 passing the examination.
Out of 7189 enrolled in Arts Stream, 7079 appeared the examination and 5048 candidates passed the examination.
In Science Stream, among the 20328 enrolled, 20193 appeared in the examination with 13240 passing the examination.
In Commerce Stream, 507 students got enrolled whereas 504 appeared in the exam and 333 passed the examination.
The announcement of results of The Higher Secondary Examination, 2018 was attended by the Commissioner Education (S) Sumant Singh, Director Education (S) Th Kirankumar Singh, Chairman of COHSEM L Mohendro Singh, officials of COHSEM, dignitaries and guardians of the students.
