Manipur Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar Singh said on Friday Poverty is the main cause for social disorder in a society.
Speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function of the Skilled Development Centre of Oinam Ibohal Polytechnic at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai in Imphal Minister Jayantakumar said that creation of job for the unemployed people will solve the problem of social disorder and disharmony.

The inaugural function was also attended by Ex-MP Ms Kim Gangte and Director General, State Academy of Training, Imphal O Nabakishore Singh as President and Guest of Honour respectively.
Minister Jayantakumar also maintained that the available human resources in the state need to be explored and suitable placement for those skilled people are necessary.
He further said that opening such skill development centres will supplement the storeroom of our human resource. The government has been providing machines and equipment to the eligible private individuals, Self Help Groups (SHG) and voluntary organizations. Technical knowhow of the machines and equipment is necessary.

Such Skill Development Centres will train the individuals regarding the handling and proper utilization of those machines and equipment, he added. Minister Jayantakumar sought public participation and urged the unemployed youths to join such skill development trainings.
