Manipur: One PLA, two KCP militants held in Imphal East

Three cadres of two different Manipur insurgent groups have been arrested by security forces in Imphal East district.

A team of Assam Rifles and Manipur police in a joint operation on Monday arrested a People’s Liberation Army (PLA) cadre from Andro Khuman Leikai, Imphal East District.

The nabbed insurgent was identified as Puthem Sanatomba Singh, a resident of Andro Khuman Leikai, Imphal East district and

The apprehended rebel was handed over to Andro Police Station for further investigation.

In another incident, security forces in a joint operation with police apprehended two KCP (PWG) cadres from Imphal East district on January 30.

Based on specific inputs, Security Forces along with Police launched an operation resulting in the apprehension of two KCP (PWG) cadres.

The security forces recovered one AK-47 rifle, seven live rounds of ammunition, one hand grenade and other warlike stores.

The apprehended militants with recovered arms were handed over to Moirang police station for further investigation.
