The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed charge-sheet against two UNLF (United National Liberation Front) rebels for allegedly attacking security forces in Manipur.
The charge-sheet was filed at a special NIA Court in Imphal, Manipur on Thursday.
The charge-sheeted UNLF militants are: Lisham Ibosana Meitei and Konsam Manithoi Singh.
The rebel duo has been charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Substance Act.

The two UNLF rebels have been charge-sheeted in a case related to lobbing of a hand grenade on security forces stationed at the Manipur Raj Bhawan in Imphal in January this year.
According to the NIA, the accused duo was “part of a deep-rooted conspiracy to execute terrorist acts with an aim to terrorise the general population and to wage a war against India”.
