Imphal: An unidentified dead body of a man has been found by a police party inside a four-wheeler parked near the state government-run Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, (JNIMS) in Imphal East, Manipur on Saturday afternoon.
Officials said that the dead body of the unidentified man of around 25 years was recovered inside a Gypsy parked in front of an SBI ATM near the JNIMS complex.

The body was found at around 3 pm on Saturday.

A plastic packet containing locally distilled liquor, a mobile phone, and the vehicle key were found, the police said.

The starting keyhole of the vehicle was also unlocked.

Police said that after completion of all necessary legal formalities, the body of the deceased person has been kept in the Mortuary of the JNIMS for post-mortem.
Police are now investigating the incident to ascertain the identification of the deceased.
