Imphal: The Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM), declared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Class 10 results on Friday, May 8, 2026, recording an overall pass percentage of 88.74 per cent, lower than last yearโ€™s 91.37 per cent.

Commissioner of Education (School) Ningthoujam Geoffrey, BOSEM Chairman Ng Bhogendro Singh, and others announced the examination results at an event held on Friday. The results of three students were withheld.

Candidates who secured a minimum of 33 per cent in each subject and in aggregate were declared passed. The results were provided along with division classifications (First, Second, or Third) based on the marks obtained.

A total of 36,725 candidates, including 18,375 boys and 18,350 girls, appeared for the examination at 161 centres across the state. The examination was conducted from February 23 to March 23, 2026.

Of the 392 internally displaced students who appeared for the examination, 327 passed. Among them, 231 students were from valley districts and 161 from hill districts.

The results maintained a grade-based system aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on holistic assessment rather than marks.

Chandel district recorded the highest pass percentage at 97.38 per cent, while Jiribam recorded the lowest at 74.59 per cent.

Manipur has 16 districts. During the examination, eight students were debarred and expelled for impersonation, while one student was expelled for malpractice.
