Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh has appealed to all the people to strictly follow the standard operating procedures that have been issued in view of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic taking a turn for the worse in India.
The overwhelming number of positive cases together with the acute shortage of oxygen has stressed the health sector to the fore.
Meanwhile, the director of the Manipur health services along with a medical team visited the KVS oxygen plant at Patsoi in Imphal West district to take stock of the supply of oxygen for patients in the state.
Manipur has also seen a rapid rise in Covid-19 positive cases in the past few days, forcing the state government to impose night curfew in all districts.
