Imphal: Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, on Wednesday launched the State-level Birth Registration Based Aadhaar Enrolment (BRBAE) service at Lok Bhavan, Imphal.
Overall, 31 health facilities have been identified for the implementation of the BRBAE initiative.
The BRBAE system enables Aadhaar enrolment for children aged 0 to 5 by linking Aadhaar registration with the childโs birth registration number from the Civil Registration System, using the Child Enrolment Lite Client (CELC) mobile application.
The initiative is expected to enhance transparency and efficiency in both birth certification and Aadhaar enrolment, addressing a critical administrative need and strengthening the delivery of citizen services.
In the first phase, 23 health facilities under the Directorate of Health Services, Manipur, will be made operational for Aadhaar enrolment following the sanction of 23 CELC kits by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
The launch of this service marks a significant step towards ensuring early identity establishment for children and improving access to essential government services.
