The Manipur Secretariat Services’ Association, which called for cease work jointly with the Manipur Government Services Federation, on August 17, 2021, said the state government is yet to implement the MoUs signed by the government with them.
The Manipur Secretariat Services’ Association in a statement said the state government employees including the employees of Manipur Secretariat, an indefinite cease work strike was launched on August 17, 2021.

The strike was launched jointly by the Manipur Government Services’ Federation including Nurses and Medical doctors, Engineers to fulfil the charter of demands.
A number of MOUs have been signed but those are “not translated into the real action till date which has ultimately insisted to continuously pouring oil in the fire,” said the statement issued by The Manipur Secretariat Services’ Association.
“The State Govt. running without the administrative skill and responsibility at this juncture is highly condemnable by whole mass of working people, employees and teachers which is very unproductive and becoming a bad precedent,” it said.

“For which, the whole society is highly expecting the state government to resolve the issues at the earliest for the betterment of all and good administration in the state,” the Association added.
The Manipur Government Services Federation and The Manipur Secretariat Services Association have demanded the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.
