Imphal: The police arrested four suspected activists of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party-People’s War Group (KCP-PWG) on Monday, including a female cadre, in the Nambol area of Bishnupur, Manipur.
A source said that acting on an intelligence report, police laid a trap in the Nambol area on Monday morning, leading to the arrest of the four suspects.

The operation was successful in apprehending the individuals, who were allegedly involved in extortion activities in and around Nambol.

The accused were identified as Khundrakpam Rojit Singh (28), Thokchom Sornu Singh (23), Khoirakpam Abhinash Singh (21) and Victoria Devi (26).

The police said that one pistol with one live round, four mobile phones and one vehicle were seized from the suspect.
The arrested persons and confiscated items are currently in police custody for further legal proceedings.
