The administration also appealed to the public to report any missing persons that might be connected to the incident.
This unfortunate event occurred just two days after the Manipur government issued directives to farmers to cease burning stubble and refrain from using public roads for threshing paddy.
The Thoubal and Bishnupur District Administrations had observed that the onset of the harvesting season had led to some individuals resorting to these practices, causing damage to public property and posing risks to public safety.
