The narcotics and affairs of border (NAB) of Manipur has seized a massive consignment of contraband substances.
The seized contraband, suspected to be ‘ice drug’ (crystal methamphetamine), has been estimated to be worth over Rs 2 crores.
The seized consignment of ‘ice drug’ weighs 1 kilogram.
“The contraband is suspected to be smuggled from the neighbouring country (Myanmar),” Manipur chief minister Biren Singh said.
Four persons, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the seizure.

Meanwhile, the police in Manipur have launched an investigation to bust the illegal drugs trade network.
“State government (is) achieving great success in busting complicated drug rackets,” the Manipur chief minister added.
The contraband is suspected to be smuggled from the neighbouring country. On the revelation of the three arrested individuals, another person who was supposed to receive the drug was also arrested from Sekmai. A case has been registered for further investigation.
