Guwahati: A serious medical incident was narrowly avoided at Manipurโ€™s Imphal International Airport on Saturday, April 4.

A CRPF personnel, travelling to Delhi, collapsed in the departure lounge, reportedly due to a heart-related issue.

Dr. Ph. Kiron, Commandant (Medical) of CRPF Battalion 27 in Delhi, who happened to be at the airport, acted immediately and provided urgent medical care.

His prompt response played a crucial role in stabilizing the individual during the critical situation.

Following this, the passenger received further attention from the Airport Medical team and the ARFF personnel before being rushed to a nearby hospital for detailed examination and treatment.

There are no immediate reports of disruption to airport services.
