The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in Manipur has increased to 1,227 while the total number of active cases is 733, health department officials said.
The COVID -19 common control room in a press release on Monday night said that 42 persons including 24 male and 18 females were confirmed as new COVID 19 positive cases of the state.
Stating that the cases are reported from Kamjong, Kangpokpi, Senapati and Ukhrul districts, the release said all are returnees from other states.
They are being shifted to the COVID Care Facilities, it added.
The release also added that 39 persons were discharged from COVID care centre Meitram(32) and COVID care centre Tamenglong(7) in the last 24 hours after they were found COVID -19 free on a Real Time PCR test.
The number of active and recovered cases is 733 and 494 respectively. The recovery rate is 40.26 percent.
As on Monday, 49,084 were tested for Covid-19, another official source added.
Altogether 9,858 inmates were staying at quarantine centres including paid quarantine centres while 41,718 others completed quarantine.
