Former Manipur Deputy Chief Minister and member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) Gaikhangam Gangmei said that the Mission 2022 of the Congress party is to bag not less than 45 of the 60 seats in the Assembly elections in the State next year.
Manipur Congress leader Gaikhangam Gangmei said this while speaking at a one-day state-level youth interaction and social media training workshop on Sunday.

Gaikhangam Gangmei said that the present MLAs, who stuck with the Congress party in the last five years in the opposition, “are committed to the party’s ideology and principles”.
The Manipur Congress leader further accused the BJP-led Government in the State of ‘deliberately’ delaying the elections of the Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) in the hill districts and urban local bodies (ULBs) fearing defeat.
“The government’s unwillingness to conduct the impending ADC elections at the moment despite strong pressure from student bodies and civil societies only exposes that the ruling BJP party is not in a very comfortable position,” said Manipur Congress leader Gaikhangam Gangmei.
