IMPHAL: Manipur Congress has raised concerns regarding alleged violations of the election model code of conduct (MCC) in recent government recruitment notifications in Manipur.

In a letter to the Manipur chief electoral officer (CEO), Manipur Congress president K Meghachandra highlighted various notifications for posts such as co-operative inspector, LDC, farm overseer, driver, peon, and chowkidar, circulating on social media despite the MCC being in effect for the Lok Sabha elections.

Manipur Congress claimed that the recruitment process, including form submissions through employment exchanges, breaches MCC guidelines.

Despite a previous application on April 2, Manipur Congress stated that no action has been taken.

Manipur Congress urged the chief electoral officer to initiate legal action against officials responsible for these notifications to ensure electoral integrity and justice.
