Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh has tested positive for Covid19.
The news has been confirmed by the Manipur chief minister in a tweet on Sunday afternoon.
N Biren has requested all the people, who came in close contact with him recently, to isolate themselves and get tested for Covid19.
“I have tested positive for COVID-19. I request all those who came in close contact with me recently, to self isolate and get tested,” the Manipur chief minister tweeted.
In a video message to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Diwali and Ningol Chakouba 2020 on Saturday, chief minister N Biren appealed to all to practice Jan Andolan for COVID appropriate behaviour.
It is through the joint efforts of both the government and citizens which can overcome this pandemic, the chief minister had said.
