Manipur CM N Biren Singh lauds overhaul of criminal laws

Imphal: Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh has expressed strong support for the newly introduced criminal laws by the central government.

Speaking on “behalf of the people of Manipur”, CM Biren Singh highlighted the significance of these reforms, highlighting the new measures against mob lynching.

“On behalf of the state government and people of Manipur, we really appreciate PM Modi for bringing such a big change in the criminal laws in India after 164 years,” said Cm Biren Singh.

He added: “There are some good points against mob lynching, which is very important. It is widely applicable in Manipur because such incidents are taking place in many parts of the country, including our own state.”
