Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh has appealed to the public to visit the MaiWon exhibition in Imphal to encourage local artisans and buy their products.

He said that the public should buy more such products to promote the creations of local artisans.

The chief minister on Tuesday inaugurated the MaiWon exhibition at Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal.

The exhibition is being organized with aim of providing local artisans a chance to resume their livelihood as they have been badly affected by the Covid-19 induced nationwide lockdown.

This, the state government hoped, will also aid in the recovery of Manipur’s ailing economy post-Covid.
