Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh chairs a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, adopting resolutions to ensure people-centric governance in line with PM Modiโ€™s vision.

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Tuesday evening chaired a meeting of the State Cabinet at the Cabinet Hall of the Secretariat to deliberate on key administrative and governance matters.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister said the Cabinet had adopted โ€œseveral resolutionsโ€ aimed at improving administrative efficiency and advancing โ€œsimpler, responsive and people-centric governance.โ€

โ€œThese decisions reaffirm our collective commitment to advancing Manipurโ€™s progress in line with the vision of Honโ€™ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for inclusive and human-centric development,โ€ he wrote.

The Cabinet meeting coincided with Prime Minister Narendra Modiโ€™s engagement in New Delhi, where India is hosting the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam.

In a thread on X, the Prime Minister welcomed participants to the summit, describing it as an effort at โ€œbringing the world together to discuss AI.โ€ He said the theme, โ€˜Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhayaโ€™ (welfare for all, happiness for all), reflected a shared commitment to harnessing artificial intelligence for human-centric progress.

The Prime Minister noted that AI was transforming sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, governance and enterprise, and expressed confidence that the summitโ€™s outcomes would help shape a โ€œprogressive, innovative and opportunity-drivenโ€ future.

โ€œThanks to the 1.4 billion people of India, our nation stands at the forefront of the AI transformation,โ€ he said, citing advances in digital public infrastructure, the startup ecosystem and research.
