Imphal: Central forces and Manipur police in a joint operation arrested 11 suspected militants, including a woman, accused of extortion activities in the Imphal West district.
Among those apprehended were seven cadres of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (Nongdrenkhomba), including a female.

The arrests were made at a hideout in Langol, Imphal West on Monday morning. Security forces recovered two pistols with live ammunition, three vehicles (a Toyota, a car, and a Royal Enfield), and incriminating documents.
Superintendent of Police, Imphal West District, Kshetrimayum Shivakanta, told reporters that the arrested KCP-N cadres were allegedly involved in issuing threats and lobbing a grenade at social media influencer RK Ichalthoi.
