A total of 140 more COVID-19 cases have emerged in Manipur in the last 24 hours.
Of these fresh 140 cases, 132 are from the general public, while 8 cases are from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) deployed in the State.
“The positive persons were tested at JNIMS (14), RIMS (4), Imphal East (5), Imphal West (3), Maipakpi (4), Raj Medicity (21), Shija Hospital (9), Little Clinic (1), Hillside (1), Babina Diagnostics (49), Escent Diagnostics (11), RD Wing (1), Jivan Hospital (1), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (4), Ukhrul (5), Chandel (1), Thengnoupal (1) and Churachandpur (3),” a statement from the Manipur Health Department read.
With the detection of these fresh 140 cases, Manipur’s active COVID-19 cases tally has risen to 805.

Moreover, the State has also reported two COVID-19 related death cases – both males.
“…two persons aged 51 years (male, Imphal West) and 59 years (male, Imphal West) expired at Raj Medicity and RIMS Hospital respectively,” the statement from the Manipur Health Department added.
The COVID-19 death toll in Manipur stands at 385.

A total of 129099 persons have been vaccinated in Manipur since the beginning of the nationwide vaccination programme in January.
