The Jwalamukhi Battalion under the aegis of Senapati Brigade of Red Shield Division on Tuesday distributed winter clothes, bed sheets and other items to Zion Orphanage home in Kangpokpi in order to facilitate the orphaned children.
The Zion Orphanage home is located in Saikul Hill town under Kangpokpi district.
The Imphal-based defence PRO on the official Twitter handle stated on Wednesday: “The Jwalamukhi Battalion under the aegis of Senapati Brigade of Red Shield Division distributed winter clothes, bedsheets and other items to Zion Orphanage at Saikul in Manipur on 16 Oct 2018.”
The Jwalamukhi Battalion of Red Shield Division continues to organise various programmes from time to time.
The Jwalamukhi Battalion of Red Shield Division on October 8, 2018, also distributed sports items including football, volleyball and other sports items to Mt Sinai School of Kangpokpi district in Manipur. The Imphal-based defence PRO had tweeted: “The same will facilitate & motivate students to participate more in sports.”
On September 15, 2018, the Jwalamukhi Battalion of Red Shield Division organised a medical camp during One-day Tribal Food Mela at Brig Thomas Ground in Kangpokpi district. The medical officer of the battalion conducted the camp. A total of 96 patients were examined & treated, the Imphal-based defence PRO had tweeted earlier.
