Manipur on Friday reported four more COVID-19 deaths, taking the state tally to 164.

The deceased are from Churachandpur, Imphal (West), Kangpokpi and Imphal (East).

Meanwhile, the state further recorded 221 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, of which 207 are from the general population and 14 from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

The state so far has recorded a total of 18,272 COVID-19 cases.

On the other hand, 222 persons were discharged from 18 COVID care facilities during the last 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 13,805.

The total active cases in the state now stand at 4,303 and the recovery rate of Manipur stands at 75.55 per cent.

As of Friday, 4,28,195 people were screened at various entry points, while 3,49,360 individuals were tested for COVID-19.
