Lok Sabha MP and Congress observer for Manipur Assembly elections – Pradyut Bordoloi has exuded confidence that his party will form the next government in the state. 

Pradyut Bordoloi arrived in Manipur on Tuesday to take stock of the preparations of the Congress party for the Assembly elections scheduled to be held next year. 

The senior Congress leader is in Manipur on a 3-day visit. 

“We had lost the last Assembly elections in Manipur narrowly. But this time we are confident of forming government,” Pradyut Bordoloi said.

Pradyut Bordoloi, during his course of stay in Manipur, will hold meetings with state party leaders, MPCC office bearers and workers. 

Notably, all political parties in Manipur have beefed up preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state. 

The chief electoral officer of Manipur recently had announced that Assembly elections in the state are likely to take place in the first half of 2022.
