Gandhi engaged with displaced individuals from various communities.

Manipur Congress chief Keisham Meghachandra Singh stated that Rahul Gandhi’s visit was driven by compassion rather than politics.

“His main concern was to pacify and console the pain and suffering which the people are going through for the past 14 months,” the Manipur Congress chief said.

He also praised Gandhi, along with other Congress leaders KC Venugopal and Girish Chodankar, for their commitment to addressing the crisis in Manipur.

Despite the prolonged conflict, which has now spanned over a year, Rahul Gandhi expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in restoring peace and stability in the region.

“Manipur Congress will intensify efforts to resolve the crisis,” Singh assured.

Gandhi’s visit included direct interactions with displaced individuals from both sides of the conflict, who shared how the violence has disrupted their daily lives.

Rahul Gandhi called for immediate action to end the crisis and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Manipur and address the situation personally.
