The Congress in Manipur has slammed the BJP-led state government for allegedly ‘misleading’ the people of the state.

Briefing the media, Manipur Congress leader L Tilotama said that the BJP government in the state is ‘misleading’ people with ‘lies’.

“The chief minister says that the law-and-order situation in Manipur has improved. If that is the case, then why can’t he and his cabinet take up a resolution to lift the disturbed areas tag?” questioned Congress leader L Titoma.

She also questioned the BJP over frequent visits of the party’s top leadership to Manipur ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.

“Where is the money coming from for these frequent visits? Seems that the state exchequer is spending a lot of public money on these visits,” she alleged.
