Assam Rifles’ Maram Battalion on Tuesday apprehended two drug dealers and recovered contraband substances worth Rs 70 lakhs in Manipur.
The two smugglers were apprehended near Mao.
The apprehended smugglers and the seized substances were later handed over to Mao police for initiating legal action.
Informing this in a tweet, Assam Rifles said, “Maram Battalion of #AssamRifles apprehended two drug dealers and recovered contraband WY tablets worth Rs 70 lakhs near Mao, Manipur. The apprehendees & the recovered items were handed over to Mao Police station for legal action.”
