Assam on Thursday reported 75 more deaths due to COVID-19 on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 1,984, while 5,468 new cases of infections pushed the tally to 3, 15,554, health officials said.
There are a total of 46,438 active cases.
Till Wednesday, 3,880 people recovered from the disease during the day taking the total number of cured people to 2, 65,860.
Of the new cases, 1173 were reported from Kamrup Metropolitan district.
The new cases were detected out of 59594 tests conducted during the day with the recovery rate being 85.59 per cent.
The cumulative total beneficiaries who have been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines in the state till Wednesday is 32,31,673.
