A visibly elated Yambem Gobin Singh to have achieved this feat was, however, quoted as saying that he would like to better his record in the coming days or make new attempts.

The previous world record for elbow strikes was made by Prabhakar Reddy of India with 330 strikes but in three minutes on March 20 earlier this year.

The former kick boxer Yambem Gobin Singh has attempted the Guinness World Records in elbow strike before a select panel of judges including coaches at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex in Imphal, according to the report.

Notably, Singh has also made another world record attempt in ‘knuckle push up’ and ‘jumping Jack’ on October 13 last results of which are awaited from Guinness Book of World Records authorities.

Mentioned may be made that Gobin Singh with support from Youth Council Manipur and Kickboxing Association of Manipur had videotaped, photographed every move of his record attempt in the presence of judges and witnesses as per Guinness directives.

Later he sent the same to officials of Guinness World Record at United Kingdom to verify the world record claim, the report added.
