Imphal: One Junior Commissioner Officer (JCO) was among the seven personnel of the India Reserve Battalion (IRB) suspended from their services in connection with the looting of arms and ammunition case.
H.Balram Singh, Commandant of the 5th India Reserve Battalion, Chingarel, Imphal East district, in an order issued on Thursday, states that in exercise of power conferred upon him under Rule 66 of Assam Police Manual Part-III, placed the seven personnel under suspension with immediate effect and until further order.

A disciplinary proceeding is being contemplated against these seven personnel for their grave negligence and dereliction of duties in connection with the looting case.
The order states that during the period of suspension, their headquarters will be 5 IRB Bn HQ, Chingarel and they will not leave their headquarters without obtaining the prior permission of the undersigned.
They will be entitled to subsistence allowances as admissible under the rules during the period of their suspension.

The security personnel are Junior Commission Officer, K.Binoy Singh, Havildar, Kh.Kaba Liangmei, Rifleman, Ng.Sanatomba Singh, Rifleman, M. Binod Kumar, Rifleman, D.Ishak, Rifleman Md. Jabar khan and Rifleman, Manoj Kumar Bhattara.
