Manipur recorded one of the highest-ever temperatures on Saturday.

Noney town in the western part of the State recorded a maximum of 39.92 degree Celsius, according to data from State Directorate of Environment.

It was the second time in the last three days that the hill town had experienced temperatures exceeding 39 degree Celsius.

The town recorded 39.82 degree Celsius on August 16.

Moreh, the border town of Manipur also recorded maximum temperature of 38.16 degree Celsius on Saturday, according to the report.

The state capital, however, recorded a maximum temperature of 36.7 degree Celsius on Saturday.
