The strike is being organised by the Lamyanba Irawat Memorial Integrated Trust, (LIMIT) in conjunction with the Delhi Meitei Coordinating Committee and the Manipuris residing in the national capital.
The hunger would be continued until the government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Modi finds out an amicable settlement in the ongoing Manipur crisis, Malem Thongam told the newsmen while staging the strike.
The ethnic violence between the Meiteis and Kukis entered around ten months but so far no positive measures have been taken up, she said, adding that over 200 persons of both communities lost their lives and over 61, 000 individuals were displaced.
