Imphal: Manipur police arrested four alleged drug traffickers including a female and recovered one kg of heroin powder, 5.587 kg of opium, and one car in the anti-smuggling operations on Monday.
The value of the contravened drugs would be around Rs 11 crore in the international black markets, the police said on Tuesday.

On receipt of reliable input regarding the transportation of smuggled items from Churachandpur district to the Imphal area, Bishnupur district police conducted an operation resulting in the arrest of two individuals.
The alleged smugglers Md. Nurhaman @ Nurahaman (51 yrs) and Ibem, both residents of Kwakta, Bishnupur district were arrested from Terakhongsangbi.
Further, from their possession the police recovered suspected opium weighing 5.587 kg and brown-coloured powder (suspected to be brown sugar/heroin) weighing 1.006 kg were recovered.

Manipur police arrested two individuals identified as Khaying Longvah (44) of Ukhrul and Ngahanyui Kashung (37) of Kamjong from Khabeisoi, Imphal East District.
Further from their possession, suspected contraband heroin powder weighing about one Kg and one car were seized.
The arrested smugglers along with the recovered items and the impounded vehicle have been handed over to the concerned police stations. Regular NDPS cases have been registered for further investigations, the police added.
