The Congress party in Manipur is working to forge a pre-poll alliance with “like-minded” parties for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.
“A decision on pre-poll alliance with like-minded parties is likely to be reached soon,” informed Manipur Congress working president K Meghachandra.
Meghachandra also stated that candidates for the elections would be finalised after a pre-poll alliance is stitched.
“The candidates are yet to be finalised. As soon as a decision on pre-poll alliance is reached upon, the candidates would also be finalised,” informed Manipur Congress leader K Meghachandra.

Manipur will go to the polls in two phases — February 27 and March 3.
60 Assembly seats in Manipur will go to polls in the two phases.
Out of the 60 constituencies, 20 are reserved for Scheduled Tribes in hill districts.
