Both the rooms were completely gutted in the inferno.

Somorendra told media persons that the group did not cause any harm to the migrant workers, however, they set their rooms on fire.

This is the second instance where armed miscreants have set houses at Samarghat village on fire since the ethnic violence erupted in the restive state on May 3, 2023.

The incident comes barely 13 hours after armed miscreants torched four houses at Jiribam district’s Juladhor Part 2 and Durgapur villages.
