Imphal: A 25-year-old tribal youth succumbed to his injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident involving a stray cow in the southern part of Manipur.
According to police sources, one Paotinmang, 25, a resident of S Molcham village in Manipur’s Churachandpur district bordering Bokan Bazaar of Myanmar was returning home late Friday when a cow ran into his motorcycle on the Molcham road.

He was thrown off his bike in the dark in the middle of the road and was in a state of unconsciousness at around 11 pm on Friday.
Paotinmang son of one Nengkholun was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries despite being given initial treatment.
Police said that a case has been registered in this issue and efforts are on to arrest the owner of the cow involved in the accident.
