Guwahati: The Assam Rifles saved the lives of 130 children following a severe food poisoning at a school in Moreh in Tengnoupal district of Manipur

Alerted by the Moreh Primary Health Centre (PHC), a medical team from the central paramilitary force soon rushed to the site with essential medicines and medical supplies, the Assam Rifles said in a press statement on Monday.

Guided by the medical officer of the Assam Rifles and in coordination with the Tengnoupal chief medical officer, the team worked tirelessly with the PHC staff to stabilise the affected children, it added.

Personnel from the Moreh Battalion of Assam Rifles ensured seamless coordination and effective care, it said.

This joint effort by the Assam Rifles and medical authorities resulted in the timely stabilisation of all 130 young lives, turning a potential tragedy into a testament of hope and resilience, the statement added.
