As Rama’s ‘Ashvamedha’ horse was stopped by Luv and Kush, the labourers and farmers will stop Ram brigade in Tripura, CPI-M general secretary Sitaram Yechury said.
The CPI-M general secretary said, “Modi should remember that here labourers and farmers will be Luv and Kush who will stop the Ram brigarde. He was addressing an election rally at Agartala’s Vivekananda stadium on Sunday.
Yechuri alleged, “BJP is negotiating with both extremist tribal groups IPFT and INPT in Tripura. Terming BJP a hypocrite party he said BJP speaks of Hindutva and nationalism at one side and on the flip side it is joining with such forces who are not interested in promoting Indian nationalism.
Yechuri came down heavily on BJP and said, “BJP is opportunist and has no principle at all. It is joining hands with IPFT and INPT only for winning elections contradicting what they propagate in other parts of India. We will say what Netaji Subash Bose taught, i.e., Jai Hind”
Meantime, Tripura Chie Minister Manik Sarkar said the people of Gujarat have rejected the Gujarat model and the development of Tripura is a model for India.
He said it is a pity that opposition BJP does not know that Tripura’s social and literacy indicators are much better than other parts of India and the former PM of India had declared Tripura as the best governed state in the region and now the focus is to create employment in the state.
Among others CPI general secretary D Raja was also present in the public meeting.
