GUWAHATI: With political campaigning intensifying nationwide as elections draw near, senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is poised to visit Assam for election campaigning.

During her trip, the senior Congress leader will campaign for the party’s candidate from the Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency in Assam, Gaurav Gogoi.
As part of the campaign, she will participate in a road show at Titabor in Assam before heading to Agartala in Tripura, where she plans to continue campaigning.
Voting for the Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency in Assam will be held on April 19.
Reports suggest that on April 16, Priyanka Gandhi will lead a roadshow in Agartala in support of opposition INDIA bloc candidates contesting from Tripura West and Tripura East Lok Sabha constituencies.
In Tripura, the roadshow intends to traverse significant locations across Agartala, with Priyanka Gandhi addressing the public near Surya Chowmuhani.
Stressing the significance of the upcoming elections, senior Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman urged active participation in the roadshow, underlining the crucial role of public engagement in shaping the country’s future.
In the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency, Tripura Congress president Asish Kumar Saha will represent the opposition INDIA bloc, while former CPI-M MLA Rajendra Reang will contest from the East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency.
Elections for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat and the Ramnagar assembly constituency by-election are scheduled for April 19, with polling for the Tripura East parliamentary constituency set for April 26.
