Guwahati: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the dates of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

The state of Assam will go for poll in three phases — April 19, April 26 and May 7.

In the first phase which is on April 19, polling will take place in Kaziranga, Sonitpur, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, and Jorhat constituency seats.

In the second phase of elections which is on April 26, polls will take place in Darrang-Udalguri, Diphu, Karimganj, Silchar, and Nagaon constituency seats.

In the third phase of elections which is on May 7, polls will take place in Guwahati, Barpeta, Kokrajhar and Dhubri constituency seats.

In the country, there will be held in seven phases with the first phase of polls taking place on April 19 and the seventh phase on June 1.

The counting will take place on June 4.

In the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram and Sikkim, polling will take place in the first phase which is on April 19.

In Manipur Tripura, polling will take place in two phases — April 19 and April 26.

The fourth phase of elections will be on May 13, the fifth on May 20 and the sixth on May 25.
