A 30-member delegation led by Manipur Chief Minister, N Biren Singh and BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP, K Bhabananda Singh is in the national capital to brief the Central Government and top BJP leaders about the persistent stand of the people of Manipur regarding the Framework Agreement.

The delegation of Manipur state BJP has also drawn up strategies and means to protect the interests of the State.
It is learnt that all members of the delegation unanimously agreed that the framework agreement should be limited to Nagaland state boundary and anything that remotely impacts Manipur should be debated and ratified by Manipur State Assembly.
The delegation also called on BJP national general secretary, Ram Madhav, who is in-charge of north-eastern region and a memorandum signed by the delegation members was submitted to him.

In the next two to three days, the delegation would be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, national security advisor to the Prime Minister, Ajit Doval and interlocutor of the Naga peace talks, R N Ravi, to present the before them the emotions and sentiments of the people of Manipur regarding the Framework Agreement.
The delegation is also expected to meet Union Human Resources Development Minister, Prakash Javadekar to apprise about him about the on-going impasse at Manipur University and seek his intervention to resolve the crisis at the earliest.
The delegation has also met and discussed with External Affairs Ministry officials about the recent border issue with Myanmar.
The Ministry, it is learnt, will soon send a team to take stock of the situation at ground zero.
