Demanding the immediate release of KMSS leader Akhi Gogoi, CPM politburo member Nilutpal Basu on Thursday alleged that the Centre is using arm tactics to douse the democratic protest.

“Akhil Gogoi was protesting democratically. But the government do not have any other option except to arrest him with no genuine cases,” said Basu.
