The Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of October was held in Kohima on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by advisor Urban Development and chairman DPDB, Dr Neikiesalie Kire.

The meeting was held at the DPDB Hall Conference Hall in Nagaland capital.

Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the District Level Awards Committee and Inter Departmental Sports Meet Committee were asked to brief the Board on their seating in the next meeting.

The vice chairman DPDB and DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS asked the defaulting departments which have not submitted their reasons on failing to provide departmental profile to submit at the earliest.
On restriction on use of plastic, the DC briefed the members on successful conduct of checking exercise on banned plastic items within the stretch of Kohima town on October 4.
He informed that further frisking and checking will be carried out and requested the members to take the matter seriously and ensure not to utilize banned plastic in respective offices.
The meeting also recommended Nagaland Veterinarians Association, Tacü Clan Society and Kohima Ao Officertem Telongjem (KAOT) for registration of societies and decided to forward it to the Government.
Further the meeting decided to hold its next DPDB meeting cum day out at Touphema.
The DC also informed that a sensitization and awareness campaign programme on Accessible India Campaign (AIC), for the District Heads of Government Departments for Kohima will be held on October 18 at 10:39 am in the Cafeteria Hall of NPWD Kohima.
He requested all concerned to attend the programme positively.
