The locals in Fancy Bazar, Guwahati protested against the deadly Pulwama terror attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed by burning Pakistan flags and effigies of Jaish-e Mohammad Chief Masood Azhar on Saturday.

The protesters also demanded action against the masterminds of the terror attack and all business establishments of the area were shut as a protest against the attack.

The protests also chanted “Pakistan Murdadaad” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” slogans.

In one of the biggest terror attacks on the Indian Security Forces in Jammu and Kashmir at least 44 CRPF jawans, including one from Assam, were killed on Thursday evening in Pulwama district’s Awantipora town.

The biggest attack since the Uri Army camp strike of September 18, 2016, following which surgical strikes were conducted in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, terrorists targeted a CRPF convoy, which was moving from Jammu to Srinagar.
