Jet Airways has announced 144 weekly flights this summer with special emphasis to the Northeast region.
Weekly flights would connect New Delhi and Mumbai to Aizawl, Jorhat, Imphal and Silchar.
Guwahati will anchor this northeastern push and from here the airline will connect Pune, Kolkata, Bagdogra and Imphal.
Sources said the summer schedule will introduce a combination of non-stop services with several of them on unique routes being introduced for the first time in the aviation industry.

The new routes are from Delhi, it will fly non-stop thrice a week to Aizwal, Jorhat and four times in a week to Imphal, New Delhi-Silchar, among others. It will connect Mumbai to Jorhat and Imphal, with Imphal being also connected to Pune. But these flights will not be direct flights.
Furthermore, it is also planning to introduce direct service between Mumbai and Jorhat and Imphal. With this, the airline also plans to make a comeback into Manipur with its Mumbai-Imphal flights.
Imphal will also be connected with Pune with direct flights via Guwahati and Kolkata.
The summer schedule aims at enhancing connectivity and access between the Northeast and its hubs in Mumbai and Delhi.
It may be mentioned that Raj Sivakumar, Senior Vice President, Network Planning and Revenue Management, Jet Airways informed the media that the latest summer schedule aims at giving a special impetus to connectivity, trade and development in each of the cities including the North East.
