A man from Japan, who was recently tested positive for the novel coronavirus, has visited two bars with an aim to spread the deadly disease.

As per reports, the 50-year-old man, who was tested positive for COVID-19 at a hospital in Japan’s Gamagori on Wednesday, was asked to stay at home until space at a suitable medical facility can be found for his treatment.

The man’s parents were also infected by COVID-19.

Before departing in a taxi to an izakaya bar in Gamagori on Thursday, the man told a family member, “I am going to spread the virus.”

After spending some time in the izakaya bar, the man went to a Filipino bar by walking.

He told some customers at the second bar that he tested positive for coronavirus.

However, after coming to know about the man’s condition, a staff member of the bar alerted a local health centre.

Police officials clad in protective suits appeared in the bar to catch the man only to find that he had already left for home by taxi.

He was reportedly sent to a treatment facility the next day.

The two bars were being disinfected and sterilized and staff members were also being tested.
