May Day has brought in a day of price rise for India in terms of an essential commodity which is Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
Bringing in a hike in indispensable fuel of the country, Indian Oil Corporation under the Government of India has increased the price of a subsidised LPG cylinder weighing 14.2 kg by 28 paise in Delhi and 29 paise in Mumbai.

The price of the cylinders without subsidy has been increased by Rs 6 per cylinders in both cities.

Hence, with effect from May 1, the prices of the non-subsidised LPG cylinders of 14.2 kg stand at Rs 712.50 in Delhi, Rs 738.50 in Kolkata, Rs 684.50 in Mumbai and Rs 728 in Chennai respectively.

Prices of the subsidised LPG cylinders weighing 14.2 kg are now Rs 496.14 in Delhi, Rs 499.29 in Kolkata, Rs 493.86 in Mumbai and Rs 484.02 in Chennai respectively Wednesday onwards.
